I think, since my husband and I will be celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary this year, I deserve every one of these featured items!

I Heart These!

I love looking through the activity feed in my Etsy shop. I find some new and interesting items that I just have to have. Of course, I can't have everything, but I can create a treasury and share my "finds".

I've always been a creative person. When I was a little girl, I made all of my doll clothes and my relatives received numerous woven potholders on any given occasion. I loved creating. I once made a skirt for myself out of paper. Of course, I didn't go out in the rain.
In 1969, I married the love of my life, the boy next door. I worked as a nurse and he as a Financial Analyst. In 1976, we were blessed with our son James. Soon after our son's birth, our world came crashing down. My husband became totally and permanently disabled.

I suddenly had to balance my life with an infant, a very ill husband and a brand new house that came with mortgage payments.

I worked nights in my nursing profession, called for Amvet pick-ups during the day and delivered flowers on the weekend. It was tough, but I feel it made me a very strong person and I learned how to do twelve things at once.
In the Fall of 2008, my daughter-in-law told me about Etsy. I opened a shop and became hooked. I have always loved vintage and suddenly had an outlet to share the treasures I found.
I can stare at a vintage item - an old quilt or a piece of kitchenware - and wonder where had it been, who owned it and what story it secretly held.
Now, I'm a Blogger. Never thought I would be. What fun we are going to have! I can't wait to share my love of vintage with you!
